PEPPOL ID

Starting 01 January 2026, Belgium will require electronic invoicing via the Peppol network.

Peppol stands for Pan-European Public Procurement Online and is a secure international network that standardizes the exchange of electronic documents.

Companies sending invoices to Belgian public authorities or business partners must use a valid Peppol ID. A Peppol ID is a unique digital address that ensures invoices are transmitted safely, quickly, and in a fully standardized format.

This helps reduce errors, speed up processes, and improve overall invoice handling efficiency.
